-Description:
Closely follow EPON technology development, the OLT-40PON launches 5U rack OLT based on the latest EPON standard. OPW5500 is the rare high integrated EPON system equipment which integrates both L2 / L3 switch function and belongs to telecom-level access equipment. Making use of optical fiber network for all kinds of users, such as home users, enterprise users, etc, realizing the maximum bandwidth reaching to 1 Gbps for one user. Every uplink port of OLT-40PON can be up to 1Gbps. The maximum bandwidth of the uplink card XGM2A can be 10Gbps. It also support high-speed internet, IPTV multicast/VOD. OLTW5000 provides forty uplink ports to IP core network and at the same time provide as many as 40 downlink ports. Each port on the single fiber supports 32/64 optical splitters according to users' requirement. The single OLT can support 1280/2560 ONU. Transmission distance can reach to 20 km. Its height is only 5U. Meet various application scenarios, such as FTTH/FTTB/FTTC, etc.



-Application:
Figure 1-4 is the typical GEPON system application, OLT-8PON is used in the center end for operators, and ONU is used in the customers' place. As the FTTx solution, there are the following features:
L Each OLT uplink can offer up to 1Gbps bandwidth, support high-speed internet, IPTV multicast/VoD, etc high bandwidth IP data service.
L OLT downlink can support up to 512 ONU customers by the optical splitter
L It's the passive optical network between OLT and ONU, greatly reduce the optical cable line investment for operators
