Summary

1550nm Internal Modulation Optical Transmitter has been widely used in the applications of the
multi- channel transmission. When the laser's chirp effect is reacting to the link dispersion of the
fiber, there will be distortion on the receivers. While working with the EDFA, there will be serious
CSO deterioration. The distortion and deterioration will increase with the distance getting longer
and channels getting more. This series of 1550nm internal modulation CATV optical transmitter has
chirp and dispersion compensation inside, which makes the system index perform excellently. It
can be used as a transition solution, such as a town where the fund is in shortage and the area
coverage is less than 10Km.
